Finalists In 8 Categories At The Fit Out Awards 2026

What a result - Medlock and our clients have been named finalists in eight categories at the Fit Out Awards UK 2026. 

Four projects delivered for Mollie’s, Clays, DoubleTree by Hilton and Haven have secured seven finalist places between them. Medlock FRB has also been shortlisted for Fit Out Contractor of the Year, recognising the contribution of our wider team and supply chain.

Here’s what we’re up for.

Mollie's Manchester - Finalist for 3 awards

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Hospitality: Mollie’s Manchester

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Hospitality (Hotel): Mollie’s Motel

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Hospitality (Restaurant): Mollie’s Diner 

Mollie's Manchester leads the way with finalist nominations across three categories. And fully deserved it is too. 

Allied London's £19m redevelopment brought the Mollie's brand to the North for the first time, turning the former Granada Studios into a major new hotel, dining and entertainment destination.

This complex project included 128 bedrooms across five floors, the all-day Mollie's Diner and Studio IV, a basement cocktail bar and live music venue complete with green room, VIP areas and a heated outdoor terrace. 

Dark timber, brass detailing and leather banquettes create Mollie’s distinctive retro-inspired style throughout the diner, while the bedrooms combine carefully considered finishes with a relaxed, design-led approach. 

The project was delivered for Allied London alongside 3D Reid, Curtins and Consolux and a number of fantastic sub-contractors.

Clays Soho - Finalist in 2 categories

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Hospitality (Bar):  Clays Soho

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Tourism & Leisure: Clays Soho

Clays brought its competitive socialising concept to the heart of Soho with its largest and most ambitious venue to date. Working with KAI Interiors, we fitted out 20,000 square feet across a Grade II-listed Art Deco building on Brewer Street.

The finished venue includes nine shooting stations built around Clays’ motion-capture gameplay, the new Clays Arcade for quicker open-play sessions and two dedicated private event spaces.

DoubleTree by Hilton, Tower of London

• Fit Out Project of the Year - Hospitality (Hotel)

Our 184-room refurbishment at DoubleTree by Hilton, Tower of London, has been named a finalist in the Hotel category. 

Completed across the sixth, seventh and eighth floors while the hotel remained operational, the project introduced two new room categories: Tower Deluxe and Tower Executive. We also created 75 family-friendly rooms to help broaden the hotel’s appeal beyond its established midweek corporate market.

The project was delivered for Carolia Tower Ltd alongside Upperworth Studios, Adrian Barboza Design, Morrison Design, Virtus Consult and Muirgold.

Haven Kent Coast

Fit Out Project of the Year - Tourism & Leisure

Haven's newly opened Lost Lagoon Waterpark at Kent Coast Holiday Park has been shortlisted in the Tourism & Leisure category. 

The significant investment has overhauled the park’s swimming facilities with new attractions for guests of all ages. These include the Atlantis Falls wild river waterslide, the Coral Bay interactive aqua-play area, a dedicated pool for younger swimmers and upgraded indoor and outdoor swimming facilities.

The complex was delivered following extensive groundworks and the construction of a new steel-framed and glazed pool enclosure. It forms part of Haven’s wider investment in improving its parks and creating new experiences for holidaymakers across the UK.

The project was delivered for Haven Holidays alongside Space & Place Architects, Shellmar Construction, Crouch Waterfall and Barr + Wray.

Fit Out Contractor of the Year - Medlock FRB

And last but not least, our eighth finalist place recognises the business as a whole. 

We’re incredibly proud to be one of five companies shortlisted for Fit Out Contractor of the Year. This is recognition for everyone across Medlock, as well as the subcontractors, suppliers and project partners who help us deliver quality projects throughout the country.

It reflects a year of ambitious projects across hotels, restaurants, bars, leisure destinations and holiday parks, completed for clients who continue to invest in creating exceptional spaces.

The Fit Out Awards UK celebrate innovation and excellence across the fit-out sector, recognising standout projects and the businesses, individuals and project teams behind them.
