Crowne Plaza, London Docklands

Client: RBH Hospitality Management

Designer: Bell & Swift

Duration: 6 weeks

Value: £270k

Medlock completed the full refurbishment of the ground floor front-of-house areas at the Crowne Plaza London Docklands. The works deliver a refreshed arrival experience at the busy East London hotel.

The scope of the refurb included the lobby, reception counters, public areas and guest restroom facilities.

Working with designer Bell & Swift, RBH wanted the spaces to feel warm, welcoming and reflective of the hotel's prominent waterside location close to Canary Wharf, ExCeL London and London City Airport.

The standout elements of the scheme are the bespoke curved timber reception counters and matching slatted timber feature wall panels, both manufactured in Medlock's own in-house joinery workshop. New herringbone flooring and tiled feature areas run throughout the lobby and public spaces, alongside fully refurbished guest restroom facilities, complete redecoration and M&E upgrades.

The six-week programme was delivered while the hotel remained fully operational, requiring careful planning and close coordination with the hotel team to minimise disruption to guests and staff throughout.

Another great project completed with RBH Hospitality Management. This project also adds to our growing portfolio of London refurbs, fit outs and builds. Other projects in the capital include 1Rebel gym, Doubletree by Hilton Tower of London, Clays in Soho and Flat Iron in Southbank and Hilton London Paddington.
