Medlock have completed a major structural upgrade to the Splashaway Bay indoor pool complex at Haven's Hafan y Môr Holiday Park on the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales. The £2m programme of works was delivered over 27 weeks.

The scope centred on the full replacement of the roof structure and panels of the building, a technically demanding refurbishment undertaking given the scale of the facility.

Alongside the roofing works, all mechanical and electrical services within the building were decommissioned and fully reinstalled. This required careful sequencing to coordinate the structural and services elements of the programme.

Hafan y Môr is one of Haven's largest parks, known for its beachfront location and views towards Snowdonia. The investment at Splashaway Bay was essential to make sure this popular attraction remains safe and operational for the thousands of guests who visit each year.

The project required close coordination with Haven’s Ops team throughout to manage the complexity of the works while keeping disruption to the wider park to a minimum.

The completed scheme secures the long-term future of one of Hafan y Môr's most-loved facilities, supporting Haven's continued investment in the park for generations of holidaymakers to come.

The project also adds to our long-standing relationship with Haven.
