Haven Lakeland, Lake District

Client: Haven

Architect: NBDA

Duration: 10 weeks

Value: £400k

It was a delight to complete a multi-area upgrade for our friends Haven at their Lakeland Leisure Park.

Located just a few miles south of the Lake District National Park and with views across Morecambe Bay, the park required a number of improvements across three areas of the park.

Importantly, these upgrades needed to be done whilst maintaining full operational capacity throughout the busy season.

The project included refurbishment to the existing showbar, including updated finishes, fixtures and technical installations. We also delivered improvements to the caravan sales area including decorative upgrades, new flooring, bespoke joinery and M&E system modifications to create a more professional environment for prospective customers.

The most complex element involved a full remodelling of the former owners' quarters to accommodate a new Burger King outlet. This required big structural alterations, complete M&E installation, new flooring, bespoke joinery and metalwork to meet franchise requirements and to integrate smoothly into this fantastic Haven park.

The project was delivered within live trading conditions across this busy holiday park. Working closely with Haven’s operations teams, we coordinated the works to ensure zero impact on guest experience. We had to be particularly mindful when managing activities around family entertainment schedules and maintaining caravan sales area accessibility works.

The completed works have further improved Haven Lakeland's offering across entertainment, sales and dining sectors.

It’s been fantastic to work with our long-standing partners at Haven. This project builds on our successful track record with Haven Holidays, following completed works at the Kent Coast Holiday Park, Skegness and Cleethorpes.
