Hampton By Hilton Manchester

Medlock has successfully completed a strategic lobby reconfiguration for RBH Hospitality Management at their Hampton By Hilton hotel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The project involved transforming the hotel's front entrance area into three purpose-built meeting rooms.
We created The Loom, a larger meeting space, alongside The Mill 1 and The Mill 2 - two flexible rooms featuring acoustic sliding partitions that convert into a single expanded space when required. The room names pay tribute to Manchester's industrial heritage and former cotton mills.
Our works included comprehensive structural modifications with new plasterboard walls and the removal of existing partitions to make the most of the space.
All rooms were fitted with appropriate lighting and HVAC systems, whilst electrical alterations throughout supported the new layouts. Attention was paid to acoustic separation to prevent disruption between spaces and the main hotel operations.
The project was delivered within live trading conditions with no disruption for guests. This required careful coordination with the client, hotel management and staff. Our team implemented planned work schedules around peak operational hours to make sure the reception area remained accessible throughout construction.
Since completion, the meeting rooms have experienced strong uptake from business guests, validating the investment in better corporate facilities. This successful project marked our first collaboration with RBH Hospitality Management, establishing a foundation for potential future partnerships across their extensive portfolio.
