Medlock has successfully delivered the first regional opening for iconic Italian brand Lina Stores, creating their most ambitious venue to date on Manchester's Quay Street.
White Rabbit Projects, the parent company behind Lina Stores' expansion, trusted Medlock to create a unique restaurant, delicatessen and bar all under one roof for the first time in the brand's 80 year history.
Located directly opposite Manchester Opera House in the beautifully refurbished Quoin building, the 150 cover venue represents a significant milestone for the brand that has built a loyal following across eight London sites and international locations in Japan. The Manchester opening marks their strategic expansion beyond the capital.
Our works as principal contractor involved the complete transformation of an empty building into three distinct, yet cohesive, hospitality spaces.
The all-day restaurant features an open-theatre kitchen, mint green and white colour palette, dark timber finishes and plush booth seating designed to accommodate guests from morning coffee through to evening dining.
The delicatessen continues Lina Stores' heritage offering with space for homemade panini, fresh salads and superb Italian coffee, whilst Bar Lina at the rear of the building creates an authentic 1960s-70s Italian atmosphere with rich red tones, velvet banquettes and mirrored walls.
Technical delivery required comprehensive coordination across all building services including complete HVAC, electrical and plumbing installations, bespoke joinery, fixed seating and all wall and floor finishes throughout.
This restaurant fit out project reinforces our growing expertise in premium hospitality delivery, building on other successful completions in multiple locations across the UK.
