1Rebel Gym, City of London
Client: 1Rebel
Architect: APA Architecture
Duration: 10 weeks
Value: £1m
Medlock has delivered the complete fit-out of 1Rebel's new Leadenhall club within The Scalpel, one of the City of London's most distinctive skyscrapers.
It’s a fantastic scheme and adds a 12th London site for this growing premium fitness brand.
Our specialist fit out works covered a number key areas across the building: a new ground floor foyer, café and WC facilities, the main gym and studios, a dedicated recovery space and premium changing facilities.
The studio fit-out required installation of high-specification sound and lighting systems to create the high-energy atmosphere central to 1Rebel's class experience. The new Reformer studio accommodates a low-impact Pilates concept, whilst the Reset recovery space features sauna and cold plunge facilities - both new additions to the brand's offering at Leadenhall.
Working within The Scalpel required careful coordination on access and logistics throughout the 10 week programme, navigating the operational demands of a busy City of London location.
This project adds a distinctive London landmark to our growing portfolio of premium leisure and fitness fit-outs, alongside other projects in the capital including Doubletree by Hilton Tower of London, Clays in Soho and Flat Iron in Southbank.
