Haven Kent Coast’s Lost Lagoon Aqua Park is here! Medlock delivered this flagship £8m project, representing one of the most ambitious swim park investments in Haven's history.

Located at one of Haven's ‘Parks of the Future’ and spanning 60,000 square feet, the development transforms an existing pool facility into a must-visit family leisure destination that sets a new standard for UK holiday parks.

As primary fit out contractor, Medlock managed the full delivery team across a complex, phased programme that began with extensive groundworks and a steel superstructure. The team then completed the fit-out of new indoor facilities and attractions.

A further phase was added to the project to fit an external steel-framed pool enclosure. This was complete with a composite clad roof, wall system, curtain walling and glazed elevations. The existing pool catwalk podium was removed and exposed areas re-tiled to blend with the new poolside finishes.

The Lost Lagoon brings together the Atlantic Falls outdoor flume, Wild River rapids slide, interactive Aquaplay zones and dedicated splash areas for younger guests. It’s all united through an immersive underwater-themed environment of blues, oranges and sandy yellows. Advanced water filtration and circulation technologies were included throughout to improve operational sustainability, water quality and energy efficiency.

Delivering a development of this scale within a fully operational holiday park required exceptional coordination with Haven's operational teams throughout the 51 week programme. Construction activities including crane lifts, deliveries and structural works were carefully planned around peak holiday periods to maintain safe separation between contractors and guests at all times.

The project adds to our long-standing relationship with Haven, who we’ve worked with on multiple sites throughout the UK, including Haven Lakeland’s show bar and new Wetherspoon’s pub The Alfred Wainwright, The Springfield pub at Cala Gran plus previous projects at Haven’s Kent Coast, Skegness and Cleethorpes parks.
