DoubleTree By Hilton Tower Of London Refurbishment A Suite Success
DoubleTree by Hilton's Tower of London hotel has completed a multi-million pound refurbishment of 201 rooms, marking a strategic shift in the iconic hotel's market positioning.
The comprehensive upgrade broadens the hotel's appeal beyond its traditional business base to welcome more families and leisure guests over the weekend, whilst maintaining its strong corporate offering throughout the week.
Strategic family focus
The refurbishment delivers impressive family-focused improvements that transform the hotel's capacity to serve families:
- 33 rooms can now sleep three guests, providing flexible accommodation for families of different sizes.
- 75 total number of family-friendly rooms, including brand-new Connected Family Rooms and options with rollaway beds.
Hilton's Family Experience programme has been rolled out across the hotel. This features welcome letters with family activity recommendations, pancakes at breakfast, and child-friendly extras like baby cots and colouring books available on request.
New room categories introduced
DoubleTree by Hilton's Tower of London refurbishment introduces two new premium room categories - Tower Deluxe and Tower Executive - named to reflect the hotel's close proximity to the historic Tower of London.
These revamped rooms span the sixth, seventh and eighth floors. They feature a warming autumnal colour scheme combined with custom furnishings and modern lighting throughout. Practical additions to improve functionality and guest comfort include open wardrobes, vanities with shelving and in-room fridges.
The design was overseen by Upperworth Studios, Adrian Barboza Design and Morrison Design.
The strategic repositioning is already showing positive results, with early bookings reflecting strong demand from both corporate and weekend markets. This validates Hilton's approach of expanding market appeal whilst maintaining the hotel's established business traveller base.
Delivering transformation in the capital
We're proud to have delivered this extensive hotel refurbishment across three floors for such a prestigious London location. In total we refurbished 184 of the rooms after announcing the project back in January.
The project demonstrates our expertise in hospitality refurbishments that balance multiple guest needs whilst maintaining hotel operations throughout the construction period.
The successful completion adds another significant London landmark to our hospitality portfolio, showcasing our capability in delivering complex hotel upgrades in prime city centre locations. We recently completed another major hospitality project in London at Clays, Soho. We’ll soon be completing the multi-million pound renovation of Mollie’s motel in Manchester city centre.
