The Queen’s Head, Hawkshead

Client: Frederic Robinsons

Architect: Alison Pike

Duration: 17 weeks

Value: £970k

Medlock is delighted to share details of a stunning transformation of the Queens Head in Hawkshead for our valued long-standing client Frederic Robinsons.

Situated in the beautiful setting of the South Lakes in Cumbria, the Queens Head is an AA rosette awarded fine dining pub forming part of the Individual Inns collection for the Stockport family brewer.

With its origins dating back to the 17th century the Queens Head is a tranquil country inn renowned for its classic fare and ideally located for visitors to explore the Lake District and beyond..

The project saw us completely revamp the main pub trade area to unveil a new interior scheme whilst maintaining many of the listed features that have made the Queens Head the destination pub it is today.

Elsewhere we also remodelled the Brown Cow annex accommodation to convert former staff quarters to increase capacity to sixteen premium individually styled ensuite bedrooms.

We are delighted to have been entrusted to deliver this landmark investment and sure the upgrades will be well received by visitors as we head towards the peak summer months.
