Premier Inn, Goole
Client: Whitbread
Architects: Alison Pike
Duration: 23 weeks
Value: £1.4m
We’ve handed over on a £1.4m extension project at Premier Inn Goole, adding 16 new bedrooms alongside the conversion of two existing rooms. The works will increase capacity at this busy hotel on the M62 corridor.
The project forms part of our growing programme of Premier Inn developments for Whitbread across the UK, supporting their ongoing investment in expanding and improving their hotel portfolio.
This 23 week programme at Goole, located between Leeds and Hull, involved the construction of a two-storey extension to provide the additional accommodation, designed to match Premier Inn's modern standards with feature headboards, comfortable beds, stylish lighting and sleek bathrooms.
Building the extension from scratch required comprehensive coordination across all building services including mechanical and electrical installations, drainage systems and structural works to create fully functional guest accommodation that integrates perfectly with the existing hotel infrastructure. We also converted two existing bedrooms as part of the wider upgrade.
The entire project was delivered while the hotel remained fully operational. Managing construction activities around live trading conditions required careful programming and close coordination with hotel management to keep guest disruption to an absolute minimum.
Our experienced team scheduled noisy works outside peak guest hours and implemented detailed phasing plans to maintain the hotel's reputation for quality accommodation and service throughout the construction period.
The completed hotel extension increases capacity at this well-placed spot, meeting growing demand in the area whilst maintaining the comfort and quality guests expect from the Premier Inn brand. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Whitbread and sharing further Premier Inn project completions across our current programme.
