Lodore Falls Hotel, Keswick
Client: Lake District Hotels
Designer: Unwin Jones
Duration: 6 weeks
Value: £200k
Medlock has completed a premium refurbishment of a selection of guest bedrooms at the iconic Lodore Falls Hotel in Keswick. This marks our fourth successful collaboration with Lake District Hotels.
The project combines modern style and comfort with the distinctive Victorian character of this landmark Derwentwater location, supporting the client's continued investment in enhancing guest experience at one of the Lake District's premier spa destinations.
The refurbishment saw each room receive a redesign which included new upholstered headboards, fresh flooring and updated wall coverings. Carefully selected materials and finishes that respect the hotel's heritage were also chosen throughout.
Bathroom areas were reconfigured with new shower facilities and our in-house joinery team made bespoke furniture for each bedroom, including bedside cabinets, minibar cupboards, TV units, wardrobes and writing tables.
The six week programme was delivered in live trading conditions with the hotel remaining fully operational throughout. Close coordination with hotel management made sure there was minimal disruption to guests.
This project builds on our successful track record with Lake District Hotels, following previous completions Lodore Falls (restaurant, reception areas and Derwent Suite), as well as bedroom upgrades at The Inn on the Lake.
The latest upgrade strengthens Lodore Falls Hotel's position as a premier Lake District destination for relaxation and spa breaks.
