Room To Refresh At Lake District Favourite Skiddaw Hotel
A selection of bedrooms at Skiddaw Hotel in the heart of Keswick are being carefully refurbished.
Plans will introduce a fresh, modern feel whilst keeping the cosy atmosphere that makes this Lake District favourite so special.

Located in the bustling market town of Keswick, Skiddaw Hotel has long been a popular base for exploring the surrounding lakes, fells and natural beauty.
With its central location and warm hospitality, the hotel offers the perfect mix of town life and countryside charm - it’s a fantastic gateway to some of the region’s most loved walking routes.
Modern upgrades, same character
The 8 week programme will start with the removal of all outdated fixtures and fittings before completing layout reconfigurations to improve the space and flow across a selection of rooms.
Each room will be furnished with new oak-finish bedroom sets, adding warmth and understated style. En-suite bathrooms are being upgraded with new sanitaryware and modern tiling, delivering a high-quality guest experience in keeping with the hotel’s surroundings.
Full care will be taken to retain the character and comfort that define the Skiddaw experience by refreshing the rooms without losing what makes them feel like home.

All work is being delivered in live trading conditions, with close coordination between our site team and hotel staff to ensure minimal disruption to guests.
This marks our fifth project with Lake District Hotels, following previous projects at Lodore Falls Hotel and The Inn On The Lake in Ullswater.
