Under New Cover As Major Roof Investment Complete At Hafan y Môr
£2m structural overhaul completed at Splashaway Bay, Haven's largest North Wales park
Not every project at a holiday park makes the headlines, but the structural integrity of a busy indoor pool facility is one of the most important investments an operator can make.
A 27 week programme of structural upgrades has now been completed at Splashaway Bay, the indoor pool complex at Haven's Hafan y Môr Holiday Park on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales.
A complex and demanding roof replacement
The scope of works included the replacement of the entire roof structure of the Splashaway Bay building, alongside the decommissioning and reinstallation of all mechanical and electrical services within the facility. It was a significant undertaking given the scale and complexity of the building.
Throughout the programme, careful sequencing and close coordination with Haven’s operations team was essential to manage the technical demands of the project while keeping disruption to the wider park to a minimum.
Securing the park's future
Hafan y Môr is one of Haven's largest parks, set on the Llyn Peninsula with beachfront access and views towards Snowdonia. With Splashaway Bay being one of its most popular family attractions, it was important to get this project right.
Most visitors will never know the scale of the work that has gone into the facility - they’ll be too busy enjoying the pool and slides! But that's exactly the point. This investment makes sure that Splashaway Bay remains safe, reliable and ready to welcome families for many years to come.
Continuing investment with Haven
This project forms part of Haven's ongoing investment in its park facilities across the UK. Medlock are proud to continue supporting that investment as part of a long-standing partnership with Haven, delivering projects that matter to guests even when they go unseen.
