A Fresh Cut Incoming For Gaucho Manchester As Major Refurbishment Starts
Gaucho Manchester has temporarily closed as work gets underway on a major refurbishment. The works will introduce a striking new interior concept ahead of the restaurant's reopening this August.
Having welcomed guests for 25 years, the Manchester venue has been chosen to lead a new chapter for the Gaucho brand. The redesigned restaurant will blend modern Latin American-inspired interiors with the character of this former Methodist church building just off Deansgate in the city centre.
A fresh look for a Manchester favourite
The refurbishment will reshape the existing 205 cover restaurant with a warm, contemporary design inspired by the landscapes, textures and spirit of Latin America.
A renewed open kitchen will become a focal point of the restaurant, bringing the theatre of the grill into full view, while a redesigned 47 seat bar will create a destination in its own right. The new space will also incorporate a mezzanine dining level offering views across the restaurant below.
Guests will be able to book out two new private dining spaces - The Mendoza, accommodating up to 11 guests, and The Hive seating up to 20.
Extensive bespoke joinery forms a key part of the scheme, including a new bar and backfitting, staircase panelling, DJ booth, reception desk, banquette seating and feature ceiling sculpture.
Respecting the building's heritage
While the interiors are being reimagined, the refurbishment also celebrates the building's unique history. Original architectural features, including the original church organ, will be carefully restored and displayed to create a thoughtful balance between heritage and an exceptional hospitality experience that Gaucho are striving for.
We're proud to be supporting Gaucho on this restaurant refurbishment, having previously delivered works at the brand's Liverpool Water Street location. We look forward to seeing the doors reopen later this summer.
