Concert Square Venue Modo To Begin Next Chapter As DeLuca’s
One of Liverpool’s most recognisable nightlife spots is entering a bold new chapter.
After nearly 30 years at the heart of Concert Square, Modo is making way for DeLuca’s - a fresh new concept from the team behind the original venue.
Designed as a full day-to-night experience, DeLuca’s will blend live sport, games, music and late-night energy under one roof.
DeLuca’s brings a bold, new concept
Set to open this February, the venue will feature a mix of immersive spaces across three floors.
Visitors can expect immersive match-day experiences in The Game Lounge, group parties on elevated Deck terrace overlooking Concert Square, social games and party vibes in The Club Room, as well as after-dark glamour in One Below - the venue’s new neon-lit basement club.
The project marks a major new direction for the site, whilst building on Modo’s legacy as a central fixture in the city’s social scene since 1997.
Work already underway
Work began in early January on a full internal refurbishment of the venue, led by Baa Bar Group. The project includes:
Ground and first floor reconfiguration
New floor, wall and ceiling finishes throughout
A reworked first-floor bar to incorporate a new DJ booth
Bar front cladding and redecoration
External strip-out, fixed seating and wider external works are being managed directly by the client.
We’re proud to be supporting Baa Bar Group on the delivery of this exciting new addition to Liverpool’s nightlife - and to play a small part in the ongoing evolution of the iconic Concert Square.
This follows projects Medlock has previously completed in Liverpool including the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Hugh Baird College, Gaucho and Liverpool Gin Distillery.
