Locked and loaded to deliver Clays’ landmark Soho venue

Clays shot onto the scene in 2021 with a simple idea: to make clay shooting fun, social and accessible to everyone.

After winning over crowds at their Canary Wharf, City of London and Birmingham venues, they're now bringing their unique blend of virtual sport and socialising to the heart of Soho.

We're proud to be working with Clays as their delivery partner for this terrific project, helping them create a standout venue on Brewer Street in one of London's most famous neighbourhoods.

historic setting for a new Clays venue

The new venue is Clays' most ambitious project to date, spanning an impressive 19,000 square feet across three floors within a stunning Grade II listed building.

Our team will be responsible for transforming this historic space into a high-quality destination where customers will be wined, dined and entertained. During the fit out, we’ll be preserving as much character as possible of the original architecture, whilst incorporating all the technical requirements of Clays' innovative gaming concept.

What’s Clays all about?

Competitive socialising is a sweeping trend in UK cities. We’ve had the likes of Flight Club, Junkyard Golf, Electric Shuffle and now we’ve got Clays

Clays combines the traditional sport of clay shooting with modern technology to create a truly unique social experience. With a range of six games, it’s fun, safe and accessible for all.

They use motion-capture technology and deactivated shotguns to give players the real thrill of clay shooting without the need for wellies, rain or countryside. The clever system delivers a super realistic experience, with the gameplay accurate to sub-millimetre standards.

What makes Clays particularly special is how they've blended this sporting activity with a premium food and drink offering. This combination creates a complete night out under one roof where guests can eat, drink and compete in stylish surroundings.

New features for Clays Soho

The Soho location will introduce several exciting firsts for the brand:

  • 8 traditional shooting pegs throughout the historic space, each with dedicated areas for ordering food and drinks

  • London's first Clays Arcade featuring five open-play pegs designed for quicker gameplay and smaller groups

  • 'The Hide' - an exclusive private space complete with a self-service bar featuring Clays' signature cocktails on tap

Growing partnerships in the leisure sector

This project marks a great addition to Medlock's portfolio in the competitive socialising sector, aligning perfectly with our expertise in delivering high-quality leisure and hospitality spaces.

The venue is scheduled to open this summer. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates soon.
