The Navigation, Marple

Client: Frederic Robinson

Architect: Frederic Robinson

Duration: 6 weeks

Value: £250k

Medlock is proud to share details of a splendid refurbishment of The Navigation pub in Marple for our long-standing client Frederic Robinsons.

The popular community establishment received a fresh new interior that effortlessly blends the pubs traditional features with a modern ambience.

Delivered over an intensive six-week programme all corners of the venue received a facelift.

The main bar area was redesigned to feature two serving counters and acts as the focal point of the pub. Further structural alterations were made to introduce clear glazed screens to offer a more open plan layout elevating the cosy atmosphere. In the intimate rear lounge area we added a new log burner fire, perfect to warm up in front of during those cold winter evenings.

The upstairs function room also received a considered redecoration and new self-contained toilet facilities for party guests. Downstairs the main pub restroom facilities were also refurbished with the ladies toilets being remodelled to accommodate a new baby changing room.

Feedback from pub regulars has been nothing but positive and we look forward to collaborating with Frederic Robinsons on their next transformation project.
