Medlock have completed the eagerly-anticipated new-build Hungry Horse branded pub in Buckshaw Village, the largest urban residential and industrial development in the North West.

Situated on the main road through the village, the planners stipulated a chamfered gable-end at 45 degrees to the roundabout outside the pub.  As well as creating a striking frontage this design feature enabled extra customer space to be included at ground level and spacious living accommodation on the first floor.

The internal design follows the hugely successful template of the family-friendly brand and also reflects the local history of the former munitions factory on which the pub sits, with screen-printed wall coverings and various artefacts incorporated into the scheme.

Medlock were requested to fast-track the project in time for a pre-Christmas opening which was achieved to the delight of our client and the wider Buckshaw community.
