The historic industrial town of Stalybridge, in Greater Manchester, has seen significant investment by the nation’s much-loved operator, J D Wetherspoon.

The Society Rooms, owned and operated by the chain, has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme. The existing interior has been given a make-over and new layout to modernise the space.

The major part of works included extending into the vacant retail unit next door. Following thorough demolition and alteration works, the refurbishment has resulted in a grand hall style extension to the existing pub’s dining area, featuring suspended lighting and a large feature fireplace.

Further to this, the extension also provided a large outdoor terrace area for over 100-covers.
