The Moss Trooper, Timperley

  • Client: J W Lees & Co Ltd
  • Architect: Mark Mason Design
  • Value: £140K
  • Duration: 4 Weeks

A fast-track refurbishment of a popular village pub was carried out by Medlock on behalf of regional brewer and pub operator J.W. Lees.

The project involved general removals and stripping out carpets, timber floors and back fittings to the main and sidebars and replacement of doors and windows, where specified.

New openings were formed and partitions constructed before the fitting of bespoke joinery items, manufactured in Medlock’s in-house workshop, including new bar servery counters and back fittings, feature wall panelling, bookcase shelving and display cupboards and the refitting of salvaged joinery items.

Externally, works included a smoking area and alterations to the car park entrance and new paving and fencing.

The completed scheme was in keeping with our Client’s philosophy of creating traditional social environments for its customers.
