The Greyhound, Ashley Village, Cheshire
- Client: J W Lees & Co Ltd

- Duration: 13 weeks
A major investment by leading brewer and pub operator JW Lees has seen a transformation of this historic pub in the Cheshire village of Ashley.
Medlock was selected as the main contractor to construct steel-framed extensions to house new kitchen facilities and a luxurious restaurant.
The three-month project also saw Medlock refurbish the existing pub and carry out improvements to The Greyhound’s patio area.
The result is a fine example of a modern-day country pub with great character, befitting the traditions of one of the north west’s longest-established brewers.
The Greyhound is the only pub in the parish of Ashley and its origins trace back more than 100 years. It was formerly part of Lord Egerton’s estate and is named after his favourite dog.
