The Crown & Anchor, Manchester

  • Client: Joseph Holt
  • Architect: Design 306
  • Value: £300k
  • Duration: 6 weeks

The meticulous renovation of this popular city centre pub was a trademark Medlock project which required a full strip-out of the existing facilities, minor structural alterations and the creation of a stylish and eye-catching interior trading space.

At the front of the building, new full-height windows were manufactured and installed by Medlock’s skilled tradesmen, while the 18th-century façade received a facelift to accentuate its historic features.

The result of the 6-week project is the reinvention of a pub at the heart of Manchester city centre’s vibrant social scene.

The Crown & Anchor is popular with families, groups of friends and the business community and serves food in a warm, welcoming environment, maintaining the long-held attributes and character of Joseph Holt pubs.
